Every year, I struggle to find the perfect present for my husband. Why? Because he really is a simple guy who doesn’t trouble over such trifles.
I, on the contrary, love details and care about special days such as birthdays.
Now that I have a partner in crime -our 2 years old daughter, I feel the need to include her in my surprise ideas. I’ve thought, what is a birthday without a cake or something sweet to blow a candle or 34? No way we are lighting 34 candles, we don’t have such big cake for that, but we did prepare a cake for dad.
Wrapping presents is overrated however, all who like something to look decent or nice as me, would decide to wrap a present. Still, I don’t want to give a lot of money for this, I’m also trying to teach our daughter that expensive isn’t synonym of a good present. You don’t need to spend a lot to impress a person or to prove someone how much you love them. Right, back to wrapping presents… I found this fabulous idea of low-cost wrapping ideas online. I believe this genuinely looks lovely.
Finally, the present: a maze ball. Remember, toys are for everyone who enjoys them. This cute little thing is the ideal gift for someone like my husband. A geek. A Loves all related to technology and programming. He’s curious and smart, besides all the other wonderful qualities I saw on him back in 2006.
I remember last September we went to a party, and he saw someone playing with a similar maze ball. I just remember he said something like: “Oh wow, I’d like to have something like this”. He obviously forgot about this, but I thought that if maybe he’d see it again, he’d buy it.
And here it’s for your happy inner child. Love you bb.
